چکیده
We experimentally demonstrate an all-optical bit error monitoring scheme based on the self-phase modulation occurring during the propagation in a highly nonlinear fiber followed by an optical bandpass filter. Numerical simulations are confirmed by experimental observations performed at a repetition rate of 40 Gb/s.

This paper proposes an analytical model for evaluating the performance of dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) for all optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (AO-OFDM) optical wireless channel. The investigated performance for proposed system is evaluated for the parameters bit error rate (BER) and Q factor .The constellation diagrams, and bit error rate (BER) of the recei...
متن کاملHigh-speed All- Optical Time Division Multiplexed Node
In future high-speed self-routing photonic networks based on all-optical time division multiplexing (OTDM) it is highly desirable to carry out packet switching, clock recovery and demultplexing in the optical domain in order to avoid the bottleneck due to the optoelectronics conversion. In this paper we propose a self-routing OTDM node structure composed of an all-optical router and demultiplex...
متن کاملOptical Packet Switching: a transmission and recovery demonstration using an SCM header
We have successfully implemented in our labs the generation, routing and detection of optical packets for next generation all-optical networks. Ultrafast switching function (μs timebase) is demonstrated by using an RF sub-carrier modulation (SCM) tone, inserted in the packet and optically detected at the node switching control, which directs the packet to a prescribed output. The optical circui...

1. Current OTDM Component Technology The large and ultrafast optical nonlinearity of millimeter-size semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) has led to the study of several types of gate functions at ultrahigh bit-rates beyond 40 Gb/s. Among these functions, optical demultiplexing has been the most successfully demonstrated with 336 Gb/s RZ signals [1]. The slow-recovery-induced phenomena that ...
متن کاملError Detection on a Spectral Data Using an Optical Processor Based on a-SiC Technology
In this paper, we exploit the nonlinear property of the SiC multilayer devices to design an optical processor for error detection that enables reliable delivery of spectral data of four-wave mixing over unreliable communication channels. The SiC optical processor is realized by using double pi’n/pin a-SiC:H photodetector with front and back biased optical gating elements. Visible pulsed signals...
